A paradise on Railay Beach

railay beach view pointTo get to Railay Beach you can either take a long tail boat from Krabi (300B round trip for a 30min boat ride) or Ao Nang (200B for a 15min boat ride). The last boat back to the mainland leaves at 5pm. Whether you want to relax at a beautiful paradise beach, have a nice meal or do hardcore sport, there is something for everyone.

Climb to the view point

railay beach view point climbThis is only for people who are not afraid of heights and haveclimb to blue lagoon railey beach beginner knowledge or strength for rock climbing. You will need both your hands and feet to make it to the view point which is a lot of fun if you like to climb and spares you paying for the climbing gear to climb some other routes on one of the karst rocks. The view from above is nice but I would say that this one is more about the climb. If you continue onwards, you can climb to Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, it rained just before I went to Railay Island and so the ground was so muddy, that it was too dangerous to go there and the blue lagoon looked more like a mud bath anyways. But if you feel like a 10m straight climb, you will find one on the way to blue lagoon on a nice day.

Since it’s low season, the guy asked for only 100B instead of 200B to see the cave. It was a very nice cave and 100B for it are ok but it only takes 6minutes to visit it and if you have seen some caves in Vietnam, you won’t be very impressed by this one. However, it has some cool narrow entries and at the ceiling, there are many bats.

And here are some impressions of the beaches:
